As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an enthusiastic and technically minded Applications Engineer to join our Technical Department in Hyderabad.

Position Overview‍

The Applications Engineer will provide technical engineering support to both our sales and design teams by ensuring the correct selection of mechanical seals, materials and seal support systems for each customer application.

The role requires a methodical engineer with strong analytical skills who enjoys solving engineering challenges and developing technical knowledge that supports the company's long-term growth. The successful candidate will become one of the company's technical specialists for mechanical sealing technology and process reliability.

• Review customer enquiries, tenders and incoming sales orders to verify the suitability of mechanical seal designs for the stated operating conditions.
• Verify seal face materials, elastomers, metallurgy and auxiliary system selections against the application, process fluid and operating duty.
• Recommend alternative seal designs, materials seal support systems where improvements in reliability, safety or cost can be achieved.
• Provide technical support to the Sales Department during quotation preparation and customer technical discussions.
• Assist sales engineers with application engineering and troubleshooting for customer installations.
• Support field investigations of seal failures and prepare technical reports with recommendations for corrective action.
• Develop and continuously expand the company's technical engineering database, knowledge systems and application guides.
• Maintain and update the company's installation database, application database and seal case reference library.
• Produce technical documents including engineering calculations, product selection guides, installation recommendations and technical bulletins.
• Liaise with Design, Production, Quality and Testing Departments to ensure technically compliant solutions are delivered.
• Assist in the development of new mechanical seal products, seal support systems and engineering improvements.
• Support customer visits, technical presentations and engineering discussions where required.
• Keep up to date with industry standards, emerging technologies and best engineering practices.

Essential

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Approximately 2–3 years' experience in an Applications Engineering, Technical Sales Support or Product Engineering role.
• Good engineering problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs and technical specifications.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop technical expertise.

Desirable

Experience or knowledge of any of the following would be considered a significant advantage:

• Rotating equipment
• Pump reliability and maintenance
